Cette édifice exemplaire du style architectural de l'époque de 1933,
loge maintenant le Restaurant Bamboo. En ce temps là, Aylmer n'était qu'une petite ville cherchant à s'établir dans l'industrie du transport maritime de la Rivière des Outaouais.

C'est en 1975 que Peter et So Seto déciderent d'acquérir ce commerce en opération depuis 1962.

Peter antérieurement propriétaire d'un prospère restaurant chinois à Hull durant les années '60, ressenti un besoin croissant pour un tel restaurant à Aylmer.

Il servit non seulement des mets populaires de la plus grandes qualité mais aussi des mets moins exotiques moins connus pour lesquels il est si bien reconnu. La popularité du restaurant justifie la récente expansion ainsi que la rénovation de l'intérieure. Dans sa grande vision, Peter a restorer l'extérieure du batiment a son apparence d'origine.

This building, housing the Restaurant Bambou, was constructed in 1933. Aylmer was then a bustling, growing town trying to capture its share of the shipping trade that navigated the Ottawa River.

It remains a classic example of the architectural style of the era. It was in 1975 that Peter and So Seto decided to purchase the restaurant that had been in operation since 1962.

Peter, former owner of a highly successful Chinese restaurant in Hull during the 60’s, saw a growing need for an establishment in Aylmer serving not only high quality popular dishes but also the lesser known, exotic dishes for which he was justly famous.

Demand for more space forced the recent expansion and refurbishing of the interior. He has restored the building exterior to its original appearance.
